Messages and contact requests
The contact form builds an email on your device. The text stays in your browser until you choose to open your email app and send it. There is no background form submission, upload or server-side contact database. We then receive the email address, name if provided, subject and message you send.
We use messages to answer enquiries, consider collaborations and resolve corrections or complaints. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in managing correspondence (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)); for steps toward a contract requested by you, Article 6(1)(b); and for legal duties, Article 6(1)(c). Marketing consent is not required to contact us.
Routine correspondence is kept for up to 12 months after the enquiry closes, unless needed for a contract, a legal obligation or a specific dispute. Contract and claim records are kept for the applicable statutory period. You can ask for the period relevant to your request.
Newsletter requests
The newsletter is coming soon. The current signup button prepares an email request. It does not silently enrol you or store your address on this website. We ask for confirmation before adding an address to an active mailing list. Signing up is for adults aged 18 or over.
If you request and confirm a subscription, we use your email and a record of your consent to send Potato videos, articles, tutorials, streaming news and occasional hamster product offers. The basis is your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)) and consent to electronic marketing under Article 398 of Poland’s Electronic Communications Law. It is voluntary and does not affect access to the website.
You can withdraw by replying “unsubscribe” to a newsletter or emailing us; future newsletters will also contain an unsubscribe link. We stop marketing after withdrawal. Unconfirmed requests are deleted within 30 days. Active subscriber data is kept until withdrawal or closure of the newsletter. Minimal consent and opt-out records may be retained for up to three years to demonstrate compliance and avoid sending further marketing, under our legitimate interest, subject to any specific legal hold.
Cookies, browser storage and external video
No Google Analytics, advertising pixels or behavioural advertising tools are installed. Fonts, photographs and the teaser video are served from this website. You can read all pages without accepting optional video services.
| Item | Purpose and duration |
|---|---|
potato-consent-v1 (local storage) | Remembers your requested privacy setting and its date on this device for 180 days. Used only for this choice; not an advertising identifier. |
| YouTube embedded player (optional) | Loads from youtube-nocookie.com only after you allow YouTube and choose Play. Google then receives technical data such as your IP address and browser information and may use cookies or storage when you interact with the player, under its own policy. |
Use to allow or reject YouTube. Rejecting it removes any player loaded on this page and stops future automatic loading. We cannot delete storage set on Google’s separate domains; you can remove that in your browser settings. Choices are specific to this browser and device. If storage is unavailable, the site still works and may ask again.
Optional storage/access requires prior consent under Article 399 of Poland’s Electronic Communications Law; remembering the privacy setting you request supports that choice. You may also delete our stored setting in your browser. External TikTok and YouTube links take you to those providers only when you follow them. See Google’s privacy policy and TikTok’s EEA privacy policy.
Hosting, service providers and international transfers
Vercel hosts the website and processes request information, including IP addresses, requested URLs, timestamps and technical details, to deliver and protect the site. The basis is our legitimate interest in secure and reliable operation. Hosting logs follow Vercel’s service retention settings; they are not used by us to build advertising profiles. Our correspondence is handled in Gmail, provided by Google. Only the adults managing the project and relevant service providers receive the information needed for their roles.
Vercel and Google may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the US. Where required, transfers must use an applicable adequacy decision or safeguards such as European Commission standard contractual clauses. Contact us for information about the safeguards applicable to your data. See Vercel’s privacy policy and Google’s privacy policy. If we add a newsletter delivery provider, this policy and the signup notice will be updated before that service starts collecting subscriptions.
Your rights
Subject to the GDPR conditions, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction and data portability; object to processing based on legitimate interests; and withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing. We may ask for limited information to verify your identity. We normally respond within one month, subject to lawful extensions.
Email lukaszwdowiak.ceo@gmail.com or write to the registered office. You can complain to the President of Poland’s Personal Data Protection Office (UODO) or your relevant supervisory authority. We do not sell personal information or make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects through automated profiling.
Children and family privacy
Children can read the guides with a grown-up. Contact and newsletter services are addressed to adults; please do not send children’s personal details. We do not knowingly collect children’s information for marketing. If you believe a child has sent personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it as appropriate.
Changes and Polish law
We update this page when actual processing changes. Material changes to consent-based activities require a fresh choice where necessary. The relevant legal framework includes the GDPR and Polish Electronic Communications Law.
